We have established different categories of skilling centers in Busia district as part of our unwaivered efforts towards ending different forms of child labor.
They include;
- The EWAD/WNCB Tailoring and Garment production center,
- The Carpentry and joinery center,
- The Hairdressing and fashion center all in Tiira trading center and,
- The Catering training center in Busia town.
The skilling center would not have been possible without the support from WNCB project and Busia district local government.
Over 2000 teenage mothers and youth rescued from child labor and those at risk of sliding into child labor will be trained in several vocational skills with solid hope that this will provide them with alternative income-generating activities to sustain their new life after being rescued from child labor.
